These pictures were taken this summer.  My mom teaches Afro-Haitian/Cuban/Caribbean dance at a University in my home town.  My school starts later than hers in the fall so I was still visiting when she asked me to do this little performance.  One of my best friends who I have danced with for years and years, Jessica, also performed with me.

The pavement was so hot that I got huge blisters on my feet for dancing barefoot.  But don't worry there are no pictures of that.

Ra Ra Riot show!

I went to go see Ra Ra Riot play last night with my friend Shelly.  It was quite an adventure; it included getting lost multiple times, getting coffee at Hooters, being very fascinated by Hooters, finding an amazingly good parking space, and dancing around for a few hours to great music!  I didn't take any pictures at the show because I checked my jacket and bag (which had my camera in it), but I did take one of Shelly at Hooters :)
