Friday Afternoon... Waiting for Laundry

The shirt I'm wearing is from a little vintage store nearby and my bracelet that you can kinda sorta see is from Guatemala- I got it at a music festival last summer.

I love love love African fabrics.  They are so intricate and colorful.  The brand, Vlisco is a new discovery of mine :).  My mama is an Afro-Caribbean dance teacher so she has a nice collection of fabrics that I get to indulge in when I go home.

Today

Today I am going home.  There is an international festival in my hometown that I try and go to every year.  There are tons of dance performances, bands, and really good food that is cooked by the different international clubs on campus.  Today is especially exciting because my friend Shelly decided she wants to come too!  I can't wait to show her all my favorite spots! 

I'll make sure to bring my camera to capture all the fun!
