My Festival Buys

Cleopatra necklace from Guatemala
 Bag from Laos
 Earrings from India
The back :)

These are the three things I bought at Earthdance.  I fell in love with the necklace, the bag, and the earrings.  They are all from such cool places and the people selling the necklace and the earrings donated part of the proceeds back to the tribeswomen that make them as part of a human rights program.  The earrings are actually made out of beetle poop that  the women collect, shape, harden, and then paint and decorate.  So cool!  And the bag is something I've been looking for for a while.  I really wanted a little bag for my ID, money, chap-stick and cell phone for festivals this summer.  I loved the tassels on this one.

It's almost Friday!  I'm going home this weekend for my cousin's wedding.  I'm so excited!

Weekly Cook Night!

My friend Ariel and I cooked dinner together  tonight.  We made little burrito/tacos with guacamole, beans, rice, corn, tortillas, lettuce, cheese, and lime.  They were so good, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen was also really fun.  We decided to make it a weekly thing, no matter how hectic our schedules get with work and school and all that.

Goodnight!  xoxo

 The Earth, dancing :)

 Yumm, fry bread.

 Delhi to Dublin

 Ziggy Marley

I went to Earthdance this weekend to work and hang out and listen to music, and dance my booty off.  It was so much fun!  My favorite band was definitely Delhi to Dublin.  I danced non-stop to their whole set.  It was such good music :).  Ziggy Marley played and so did Brett Dennen and lots of other awesome bands.   Hope you all had a great weekend too!  xo

Winter Hymnal

Metal # 22
It will be winter soon enough.
And for the first time, I am a bit excited!

River Dweller

I have an affinity for rivers.  They are magical.  I grew up in Montana where rivers are so very much a part of the day to day life (there are two that run through town).  They feel like home.  I've been getting a bit homesick for Montana, the mountains, and the rivers lately.  I'll have to make a trip soon :).
