A Long Lost Disney Picture!

This is a picture of Tyson and I on the ferris wheel at the California Adventure Park (which is part of Disneyland).  We went over the summer and one my friends who went on the trip with us just sent me this picture.  I love it!  We are a perfect mixture of happy and fearful haha.

It is not a normal ferris wheel, some of the compartments you sit on are on tracks that rock back and forth as the wheel spins so sometimes it feels like you are just going to fly off the ride.  It's fun, I swear :).

The ferris wheel looks like this:

Happy Monday!

A Day in the Life

It's all a blur ;)

 My sweet ride

These are vintage boots that my mom had re-soled for me for Xmas.  I love them and wear them way too much :).
Hummingbirds are magical :)

Winter really isn't so bad :).  I am having a lovely weekend I hope you all are too!

One Look, that is all

I just had to repost this from Caroline's Mode. This is Ulyana Sergeenko and I think she and her outfit are stunning.

Goodnight!

We're So Small

I can see why people name their daughters Aurora. So beautiful!

Days, in their middle and end

There are sooo many vineyards along the way.

 My <3, Shelly

These are crows.  There are so many in Davis in the winter.  Crows used to kind of freak me out but there is this really beautiful creation story about how crow used to be a beautiful rainbow bird until he volunteered to put an end to eternal winter on Earth by flying with a stick up to the sun to bring back fire.  Crow got burned along the way which made their voice charred-sounding, and their feathers black.  But if you get up close, you can still see a bit of rainbow in their feathers - which is true! Now whenever I see crows I think of how kind they were to volunteer to give us fire, and SUMMER.  Oh how I love summer :)...

So I just got back from visiting Tyson.  It was pretty rainy which gave us a nice excuse to stay indoors and do homework and watch movies.  The nine+ hours is pretty gruesome, but after a hug from that boy, it's all worth it.

The first 4 pictures I took on the bus on the way back today and the last four were taken in Davis last week when Shelly and I hung out one-on-one for the first time since she got back from studying abroad in Shanghai!  We went to the top of a parking garage (one of the higher buildings in Davis haha) to get a better view of a b.e.a.u.tiful sunset.

This picture was also taken on the drive today.  I hope you like them!

I Got Bangs

I got them about a week ago and I'm still getting used to them.  Cutting my hair is always a dilemma, I take it so seriously because my mom used to freak out when I was little if I cut my hair.  Bangs are nice because even when you don't do a lot with your hair it looks styled.

I gotsta go to my last class (Portuguese) on this rainy Friday.   I got a bunch of rain-gear for Christmas since I bike everywhere.  It is so nice to stay dry with waterproof boots and jackets!

I'm hopping on the train right after class to go see Tyson.  Nine hour commute, here I come!

We're So Small

Orion, hunterman.

I spent the day at the doctor's because I woke up really dizzy two days in a row.  I got some medicine so hopefully I'll be back in action in a couple days.

Tralala

 Too cool

The red bike is Tyson's and the blue bike is mine.

I feel like this blog is starting to turn into Tyson's fashion blog.  I take so many pictures of him.  This post at least has one - up close - picture of me.

I hope everyone had a nice Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Graffiti Bridge

Hello lovelies!  Tyson came this weekend and I finally got a chance to show him Graffiti Bridge a few miles outside of town.  We rode our bikes through the countryside for about half an hour before reaching it.  It was sunny and warm and I wish I had taken pictures along the ride... there were so many quaint little farms and horses grazing.

Reading my psychology of child development book, listening to music.  School can be fun :).

This is a beautiful video and a nice song, great for homework.

A Great Start to Winter

Hello beautiful people!  I just got home and ate dinner.  Tuesdays and Thursdays are so busy for me (I have four classes back to back) and three of them are two hours each! Plus I have my internship for an hour, but I survived!  I think I might be switching around some things so the chaos could subside a little bit :).

I haven't taken any pictures in the past couple days, but here are some from a couple years ago of me skydiving!  It was so fun!

I highly recommend it!  I am afraid of heights and I still did it!

Finally New Years Pictures!

 Me
 Lauren
 Stacy

Lauren and Hannah being cute and fancy about drinking their champagne :)
 Celine Bean!

We told Lauren to be serious :)  She did so beautifully haha!
On our way to the festivities!

I was so silly and thought that my I'd left my camera chord for my little camera so I didn't upload these til just now when I got back to Davis.  I had so much fun on New Years with these girls and got to kiss Tyson at midnight, which makes me happy.  I had such a good break... buuut, we all start school for Winter Quarter tomorrow!

I am taking:
Psychology of Human Development
Psychology of Emotion
A Writing Class
and Intermediate Portuguese

I don't have class until 1 pm tomorrow, so I'll probably go to the gym to get a good start on this new quarter.  All of my roommates are home and we are going to dinner in a bit to catch up on all our different adventures we had over the break.

I hope this is going to be a wonderful quarter... even with all the cold and the rain. It will be :)

LoVe,

Mariamma
