Ebay Listings

Hello! I have recently put two pairs of shoes on Ebay.  The first pair are Jeffrey Campbell wedges that I got a few years ago and have never worn out of the house.  I am not the best at walking in heals and I don't really know what I was thinking buying sky-high ones as one of my first pairs.  I think that working your way up to really high heels is the only way to learn to walk in them properly and not look like a fool.  I love them so much that when I tried them on after taking pictures of them for Ebay I almost didn't put them up for sale.  But, someone should own them who will actually wear them outside the house.  So, if that person is you, here is a link:  Jeffrey Campbell Wedges

The second pair are Dr. Martens in a lovely flower print that are slightly too small for me.  They are really cute and one of a kind.  I did buy them used but Docs are always a million times more comfortable when they are broken in so it's a plus in my book!  Here is a link for them: Flower Print Dr. Martens

Happy Bidding,

That 80's Fuzz

Hey beautiful folks! This is a pre-accident photo. I will post a post-accident photo soon.  It is really amazing how fast the body heals! It has been a week since I crashed on my bike and I have no more scrapes on my face, just the cut where I bit into my top lip. I still can't smile like a normal person because of the cut but I'm hoping that will change soon.

My mom was on Spring Break this week and she goes back to teaching at the college tomorrow.  I think I am going to go take her morning yoga class.

I hope you all had a lovely Sunday!

A Saturday

The Chico Downtown Business Association is trying to move the Farmer's Market on Saturdays because they think it is hurting business which doesn't make any sense as far as I'm concerned because it brings people downtown.  Anyways, my friend Acacia is making the poster for a benefit event that is coming up in support of the Farmer's Market.  She went on a snowboard adventure for the weekend and asked me to take some pics of the market for the poster.  It was a lot of fun!

Afterwards I took Zeus for a short walk in Upper Park and snapped some photos.  The park being green is such a fleeting thing here so I'll have to soak up as much of it and the wild flowers as I can this Spring.

Crash Boom Bang

I apologize to the faint of heart for the photo of my bloody face. On Saturday night I was biking over to Shelly's house and I hit a pot hole that bent my front wheel and caused me to crash.  My face took the brunt of the impact with the concrete… hooray.  I cut up my right hand a little bit as well and my left shoulder still hurts, but not badly.  This was my third bike accident in Davis.  I had to get five stitches in my chin two weeks in to my freshman year, the same year I had a minor concussion, and now I have five more stitches in my upper lip, which I bit through on Saturday.  It was an unnecessary way to say goodbye to Davis and college but I guess crashing on my bike will be my bookends that frame this part of my life.

But… there is good news… great news even! I am done with school! I took my last final on Tuesday morning and now I am freeeeee! I spent today packing up my room in The Big Haus and moving my stuff back into my room at my mom's, where I will be staying.  I am so excited to have time to blog more and just be creative in general.

You'll be seeing more of me! Hopefully I will be scab and stitch free for you ;)

Lua | Moon

You know clothing has an SPF
It's penetrable
Even by spring sun
Lying on unfertilized grass
Not lawns
No artificial breed of green
Just soft stalks that bend and flutter
Grateful to caress the open palms of my hands
With their tiny fleece tentacles
Like peach fuzz
It makes a glow about your face
Like moonbeams that splay out in every direction
Soft light cold space halo
You have it
Would my palms have it if I didn't touch so much
Have the peachy softness of my fingerprints been
By calluses
All for the sake of memories of texture
Are the hairs there to keep the pools of water
From forming rivers in the ridges of my tentacles
Dew drops on grass stalks
Have a mind of their own
In the canyons of your fold lines
They fold to grasp
To grasp at tangible moonbeams
No need to reach my peach
Your clothing
It's still penetrable
Even by midnight moon

Hey babes.

I am exhausted! My honorary big brother Kurt's b-day party was last night.  I can only think to call it a mini-Burning Man.  I went to bed at 5:30 am and slept until 1 o'clock this afternoon - only because a friend called me and woke me up.

The name of the party is Dark Sparkle which is also the name of the Burning Man camp that the same group of people put together.  I hadn't been to one of the parties for a couple years. It has since moved locations to a lovely little farm outside of Davis.  It was a reunion of sorts.  Some of you may know that I lived in a cooperative called The Domes for two years here at UC Davis and so many old "domies" that have since moved away came back to share in the festivities last night.  I had such an amazing time catching up with old friends and dancing my booty on, not off ;).

I tried to take pictures of the samba group performing but my little camera had such a low battery that the flash wouldn't go on. The pictures are much too dark to be useful so I retired my camera for the night.  You'll just have to take my word for it, it was really fun!

Happy Birthday Kurty!

P.S. They have a website if you want to check out Dark Sparkle for yourself. Make sure you check out the "Your Mom" tab ;).
