New Job!

I am starting a new job this week as a Content Writer at Lulu*s!  I got the job two weeks ago and tomorrow is my first day! I am so excited for so many reasons that they verge on overwhelming.

Not only is it a job behind the scenes of a successful fashion company (exactly what I've been wanting), it is full-time and therefore will give me a set routine (something I have craving since my wonky schedules in college) and some of my friends already work there!

It is so validating and exhilarating to get the job I wanted.  It has been a bit nerve racking since I graduated almost a year ago to not know exactly what direction I wanted to go in career-wise.  All I knew was that I didn't want to jump right back into school. I studied Psychology because I love working with people but that is so broad.  It has been liberating just let my interests unveil themselves without pressure or structure so that I have had to create my own structure, start from scratch.  I have surprised myself over and over throughout this year.  I'm not sure exactly when it dawned on me that I wanted to actively pursue a career in fashion rather than just do it as a hobby, but it did, slowly and then suddenly.  I think I always thought it was too far out of reach, but I guess I proved myself wrong two weeks ago!

Yay! Please wish me luck for my first day! I hope you're all having a wonder-full Tuesday!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi beauties! I hope you're having a wonderful start to your Valentine's Day.  I am currently posted at Boho in bright pink pants so you know I'm feeling festive ;)

Last night I went to a surprise Birthday party for my friend Shaylyn at the roller rink.  It was soooo much fun.  We all got dressed up like we were stepping out of the 70's which made it even more fun.

My outfit from last night seemed appropriate for today's holiday. <3 youuuu!

iPhone Photos from The Bay

Hi babes!

I got my shift covered on Saturday so I could go down to San Francisco and Oakland with Jahlelah to have a girls weekend.  I didn't take too many photos, but just enough to give you an idea of what we were up to.

We drove down Saturday and spent most of the rest of the day shopping at different Crossroads locations.  I found some awesome stuff (even the shoes I am currently wearing) which I will share in its own little post this week.

For dinner we went to a delicious Indian food restaurant called Dosa. After we had thoroughly stuffed ourselves on lamb curry and dosas (savory crepes - my favorite was a white truffle one) we headed to Oakland where we got dolled up at our friend Aleah's amazing place, and then went out dancing.  The first two clubs we went to were playing really bad music unfortunately.  We finally ended up at a gay club that had the best music and the best dancers! They also didn't close 'til 3 but we ended up leaving around 2 a.m. anyways.

The next day we headed to the city and picked up my friend Hannah before heading to the most delicious brunch.  Hannah and I split mascarpone stuffed french toast and eggs benedict with "millionaire's bacon." It was Hannah's first time trying bacon!! I'm such a bad influence haha. I wish I had photos of the brunch but we were so hungry we just scarfed as soon as the food arrived.
